Have you ever wanted to learn more about the game of Field Hockey? Have you ever wanted to try playing.? Now is your chance, all skill levels are welcome! Learn the basics of FIELD HOCKEY...it's an exciting game, come and join the FUN!
Sticks provided. Non contact but optional to wear mouth guard or shin pads.
Date: Every Monday: October 6 - November 11 (No session on Thanksgiving Monday)
Time: 7:30pm - 9:30pm
Location: Red Deer Polytechnic - 100 Donald BLVD
Goal is to develop fundamental movement skills, running, jumping, balance and co-coordinative motor control.
Athletes are introduced to movements in order to develop and discover physical confidence, fun and build a love for field hockey. Athletes will be divided into U8 and U10 groups where numbers permit.
This program consists of two weeknights in the community and two optional Festivals. There is potential to head to Calgary on Sundays for Game play within the Calgary League.
Tuesday & Thursday nights: Skills and Movement Fundamentals/Skills and Match Play (if time is available)
