Fall Calgary Junior Field Hockey Registration is Now Open



CALGARY JUNIOR FIELD HOCKEY OUTDOOR PROGRAMS FALL 2022- REGISTRATION NOW OPEN

 

FUNSTIX CO-ED U8/U10

For athletes born January 1, 2012 to December 31, 2015. Participants are introduced to fundamental movements in order to develop and discover physical confidence, fun and build a love for field hockey. Athletes will be divided into U8 and U10 groups where numbers permit.  

Locations - Two Locations to choose from: South Calgary Soccer Center or University of Calgary.

U12 CO-ED 

For athletes born Jan 1, 2010 to December 31 2011.This program continues development of fundamental movement skills including running, jumping, balance and co-coordinative motor control. Athletes at this stage should develop movement proficiency, confidence and begin skill acquisition. Athletes will be introduced to more unique co-coordinative skills specific to field hockey and match play.  Games are 30 minutes long, 5 versus 5 format. Goalies are welcome in this age group.

  • Athletes who have an existing club affiliation please contact your club to register.

U14/U16 OUTDOOR PROGRAM FALL 2022

Programs are run by local field hockey clubs. 

Clubs will participate in CJFH League games at the University of Calgary Hawkings Field on Saturdays, along with weekly training dates/times of their choice. Games will be 1 hour long with a 7 versus 7 format (goalkeeper included).

IMPORTANT NOTE: All athletes regardless of club affiliation must purchase a FHA/FHC membership for the September 1, 2022 to August 31, 2023 period.

U19 FEMALE OUTDOOR PROGRAM FALL 2022 

The goal of this developmental program is to introduce and refine skills in order for athletes to compete in a full field 11 per side field hockey game.

The primary target is athletes that have played less than two years of hockey and are not ready to compete in an adult league. 

 

IMPORTANT NOTE:An annual FHA/FHC membership will be added to your registration, please note this membership is valid for the September 1, 2022 to August 31, 2023 period.
