FHA - Development Program
Field Hockey Alberta is excited to announce its upcoming Development Program, specifically designed for athletes who did not make the FHA provincial teams this year. Running from May 28th to July 30th, this program aims to prepare players for the selection camp next summer while providing a supportive and enriching environment.
The FHA Development Program caters to three categories: U16 Boys, U16 Girls, and U18 Girls. It offers a unique opportunity for players in these age groups to enhance their skills, build confidence, and prepare themselves for future competitive opportunities, including the selection camp next summer.
Led by experienced and knowledgeable coaches, the program emphasizes both individual skill development and team dynamics, ensuring that participants are well-prepared for the challenges of the selection camp. Coaches will work closely with athletes to refine their techniques, improve tactical awareness, and foster a strong work ethic.
Through a combination of drills, small-sided games, and scrimmages, players will have ample opportunities to apply their newfound skills in a game-like setting, honing their abilities and increasing their chances of success at the selection camp next summer.
