U12/U14 League -Ages 8*-13 (co-ed)
*(8 year olds must have field hockey experience to participate in U12/U14 league, otherwise it is recommended they gain experience at Funstix)

This league focuses on basic skill development while introducing team tactics. Participants will be provided with one practice a week, followed by weekly game. League division and game format will be determined by number of registrants. Practices start the week of Sept 2 and the season runs until October 28. Beginners welcome!

Practices will be on Monday, Wednesday or Thursday nights (depending on the night you select).  Games will be on Saturday or Sunday.
All practices and games in fall will be at the University of Calgary Field Hockey Turf located at 3876 Collegiate Rd NW, Calgary, AB 

Teams & available practice days:
Monday nights: Cougars U12 6:30-7:45pm & U14- 7:45-9:00pm 
Wednesday nights: 
Thursday nights: Astros/Maroons U12 -6:30-8:00pm & U14 - 7:00-8:30pm

Equipment

Athletes will need shorts, shoes suitable for running on turf (NOT cleats) and a field hockey stick. Please e-mail Huyen at hwaycjp@gmail.com if you would like to rent a stick for the season. Mouth and shin guards must be worn at all times while players are participating in games or practice drills.
