Volunteers are important for all non-profit organizations, FHA is no different. Without volunteer coaches, umpires and parents our programs would be very difficult to organize and manage. FHA is running an OUTDOOR COMMUNITY umpiring course. You will get a FoX40 whistle and a set of umpiring cards. The course will consist of:
This interactive course guides you through a series of screens, each associated with an aspect of umpiring or the rules, including some quiz questions. There is also an online exam. This costs an additional $30, payable online to FHBC, before you get access to the course.

This will be held outdoors, for you to practice signalling, blowing your FoX40 whistle (which isn't as easy as you might think!) and Pre-Match Chats. Date Time and Location TBA.
You will be coached for one or more games, possibly including shadowing a certified umpire.
When your umpire coach thinks you are ready, you will be assessed on a match. The assessor will discuss your match with you and provide a written Assessment.
