Goal is to develop fundamental movement skills, running, jumping, balance and co-coordinative motor control.
Athletes are introduced to movements in order to develop and discover physical confidence, fun and build a love for field hockey. Athletes will be divided into U8 and U10 groups where numbers permit.
This program consists of two weeknights in the community and two optional Festivals. There is potential to head to Calgary on Sundays for Game play within the Calgary League.

Field Hockey Alberta is thrilled to announce a new Adults Drop-In Program in Red Deer! This is a fantastic opportunity for adults looking to get active, meet new people, and experience the fast-paced excitement of field hockey. The program will take place at Setters Place at Great Chief Park and will run every Tuesday/Thursday evening from May 6 to June 26, from 5:30pm - 7:00pm.
The first session is completely free, making it the perfect chance to try out the sport with no commitment. After the first session, participants will need to purchase both a Field Hockey Alberta ($40) and Field Hockey Canada ($41) membership to continue enjoying the program.
This program runs congruently with the Red Deer Storm youth field hockey programs, so sign your kid up for a youth program and get in a workout for yourself!
