Men's U16 Nationals - Not Exhibition TEAM from Alberta

Please be patient. FHA is trying to figure out a solution for sending an age eligible team to the U16 national championships. If we field a team with overage players, our team will be considered an exhibition team. Saskatchewan is sending a team with overage players and their games will not count against the other teams in the tournament. This isn't something that we want to do. Currently we have 12 eligible players, if we want to be competitive, then we will have to just take these 12. Any questions please send FHA an email via info@fieldhockey.ab.ca.

The 2009 U16 levies are set at $925. This is payable online via paypal or any major credit card, or a cheque in the mail to the FHA Office, payable to Field Hockey Alberta.

Tournament #1 - BC Club Championships, Vancouver BC: June 5th - 7th, 2009

The BC Club Championships is a tournament in which FHA has traditionally sent teams to participate. This year is no exception. The competition is great, the atmosphere is family like and the athletes have a wonderful time!! We encourage beginners and athletes who have been playing for many years.

Tournament #2 - FHC U16 Outdoor NationalChampionships, Mississauga, Ontario: July 29th - August 3rd, 2009

THe FHC U16 National Championships will be held in Mississauga, Ontario. This is the first year that FHC has recognized the importance of our younger age groups. Field Hockey Ontario is hosting this year's event. This is an exciting year for this event as well. The winning team will be given the chance to represent Canada at the Singapore Youth Olympics in 2010 by qualifying at a tournament in early 2010.
