CIS Season is coming soon!!cis
FHA will be following our two Alberta Universities in their quest for the CIS National Championship in November. Both teams are building off their previous seasons. The University of Alberta Pandas had a great finish to their season, just missing out on hoisting the McCrae Cup by a couple of goals in 2008. They will be back with the same grit and determination that lead them to success last year. The University of Calgary Dinos have a core group of athletes returning to the program with a mix of new and fresh blood. The Dinos finished off the season in 2008 with a record of 2-7-2, their best season since 2003. This is a great step towards success for the program, after losing just one 5th year athlete to graduation from the previous season, the Dinos will be a strong team in 2009. The Pandas will also have some new fresh blood behind the bench with an interm Head Coach for 2009/2010. AJ Facendi, a Pandas assistant coach since 2006 and U of A Alumnus will step up to assume the responsibility from Carla Duncan (Somerville). Upcoming Events
The FHC Senior National Championships will be held in Calgary at Hawkings Field, July 21st thru 26th, 2009. Come watch the top hockey players in Canada compete for the honor of Canadian National Champion.
