2010 Edmonton Spring & Summer Field Hockey Programs
Field Location: Foote Field- University of Alberta- 11601-68th Ave
(No Parking Fee Required)
All programs require an annual Field Hockey Alberta membership to be paid ($35.00) – This membership is good from April 1st until March 31st each year. It is also good for our Indoor programs.
What does my child need to participate?
- Soccer Shin Pads & a mouth guard (for scrimmages/games)
- A parent/ guardian for each session for U6, U8, U10 programs, or an adult responsible for that child.
What does my child get out of the program and fee?
- Each participant will receive a jersey, socks, & mouth guard to keep
- Each session will be ran by qualified field hockey coaches and instructors
- Each session will consist of drills and skills through fun exciting games
- Each session will include the CS4L- Canada Sport For Life principles for this age group. (Promoting physical literacy skills- (Agility, Balance, Coordination, Run, Jump, Throw) Visit: http://www.canadiansportforlife.ca **these skills are important for all sports! Check it out!
- Scrimmages/Games will consist of a 5vs5 format with a goalie or 4vs4 without a goalie for U6, U8, U10 programs. 7vs7 format with a goalie for U12 & U14 programs.
- All sticks, balls and equipment necessary for the program will be provided to use during each session.
- You will also have the option of purchasing team & individual pictures for the season. Look at the bottom of your registration form for details.
*Our U6, U8 and U10 programs are 5 weeks longer this season!

U14 PYG- Prairie Youth Games
Traveling to Winnipeg in the 3rd weekend of July. A total of 17 practices Mondays 7:30-8:30pm & Saturdays 10-12pm- fees will be announce shortly. Edmonton would like to send an all boys team and all girls team this summer. Start Date: May 3rd, 2010
